Introduction

This module unit is intended to equip the trainee with knowledge, skills and attitudes to enhance the trainee’s understanding of other aspects of electrical and electronic technology. Trainees undertaking this module unit require prior knowledge of basic mathematics.

General Objectives

By the end of the module unit, the trainee should be able

  1. understand the principles of direct current circuits.
  2. acquire knowledge in the care and maintenance of chemical cells.
  3. apply concepts of electrostatics in electrical circuits
  4. understand the theory of magnetism and electromagnetism.
  5. apply the principles of transformers in electric machines.
