Background Information

Kenya School of Revenue Administration (KESRA) is the Kenya Revenue Authority’s premier training school specializing in Tax and customs administration, Fiscal Policy and Management. The school is one of the only four World Customs Organization (WCO) accredited Regional Training Centres (RTCs) in Africa.

Admission Requirements

Certificate programmes requires a minimum KCSE mean grade of C- with D+ in Mathematics & English.

Diploma Programmes requires a minimum KCSE mean grade of C (plain) and C- in Mathematics & English.

Postgraduate Diploma programmes requires a holder of a bachelor’s degree (with at least 2nd Class Honors, lower division) in any discipline from a recognized university.

Masters Programme requires a holder of bachelor’s degree in Economics or business-related area from a recognized university or a holder of bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a postgraduate diploma in economics or any business-related area from a university or a recognized institution.

Also, applicants with at least 2nd Class Honors, Lower Division are required to provide evidence of 2yrs work experience.

Application Process

To apply for any programme in KESRA visit the institution website https://www.kra.go.ke/en/kesra and download your application letter according to your course of interest. Then submit the dully filled form to the Institution admission office or deliver by post office. You can also email the form to admissions@kra.go.ke .

You can also apply via KUCCPS student’s portal accessible through KUCCPS website www.kuccps.ac.ke by using your KCSE and KCPE index number as username and password, respectively. KUCCPS sets an application window within which students can submit their applications.

KUCCPS Admission Letters

To get the KUCCPS admission letter go to KUCCPS student’s portal, log in with your application details i.e., username and password. Navigate to the admission letter section to download and print your KUCCPS admission letter.

Fee Structure

KESRA fee structure varies with the course you are taking. Certificate students pay different amount of money from their degree and postgraduate colleges. Below is a breakdown of how much fee you will be required to pay per semester.

Certificate students

One is required to pay KES 40,500 and KES 40,000 for the first and second semester, respectively.

EACFFPC students pay a smaller amount compared to other certificate programmes. Every semester KES. 35,000 is paid in the form of school fees.

Diploma programmes

These courses usually last for one year. The year is divided into three semesters with each having a fee requirement of KES 50,000. In total, you will pay KES 150,000 for a full diploma programme.

Postgraduate diploma courses

A total of KES 195,000 is charged for a full course which lasts for one year. Since there are three semesters in the year, this means that you will pay around KES 65,000 for each.

Masters in Tax and Customs Administration

This programme runs for two years and has five semesters. If you join the course, you will pay a total of KES 95,000 in the first semester and KES 80,000 in the rest. After two years, you will have paid a total of KES 415,000.
