Background Information
Kisii University is a world class University for the advancement of academic excellence, research, and social welfare. Located in Kisii, Kisii University was founded in 1965 as a primary teacher’s college. The University has campuses in Kisumu, Nairobi, Eldoret, Kitale and Kabarnet.
Admission Requirements
Postgraduate applicants are required to have the following qualifications:
- A doctorate degree requires an applicant to be a holder of a master’s degree or its equivalent from an institution recognized by the University Senate.
- A master’s degree requires an applicant to be a holder of a bachelor’s degree with at least Upper Second-Class honors in any discipline or its equivalent from an institution recognized by the University Senate. OR Lower Second-Class honors with two (2) years relevant experience in a relevant field.
Undergraduate degree applicant should be a holder of KCSE with a minimum aggregate of C+ (plus) or equivalent OR Be a holder of a Diploma in a relevant discipline or equivalent.
Diploma applicant should be a holder of KCSE with a minimum aggregate of C- (Minus). OR KCSE mean grade D+ (Plus) and a certificate in any relevant discipline with at least Credit pass from an institution recognized by the University Senate.
Certificate applicant should be a holder of KCSE with a minimum aggregate of D+ (Plus).

You can also apply via KUCCPS student’s portal accessible through KUCCPS website www.kuccps.ac.ke by using your KCSE and KCPE index number as username and password, respectively. KUCCPS sets an application window within which students can submit their applications.
