The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement System (KUCCPS) has opened its online system to receive new applications for placement to Certificate (artisan and craft) and diploma courses.
KUCCPS has invited students to apply for TVET courses in National Polytechnics, TTIs, and TVC institutions. The online application system opened on Thursday, October 15, 2020, and will close on Thursday, November 5, 2020 for the TVET Continuous Placement to Diploma, Certificate and Artisan courses.
The process of placement to TVET institutions was halted by the Corona Virus, which led to the closure of all schools in the country. As schools reopen through the phased reopening structure, KUCCPS is now planning for the January intake of new students. As a result, the institution has invited those who have sat for KCSE examinations and scored C and below to apply for diploma and certificate courses in various TVET institutions in the country.
Students who scored a C- can apply diploma courses, while those who scored a D- to D+ can apply for craft and artisan certificate courses. However, the entry requirements differ according to courses and institutions. What you need to do as an applicant is to choose your institution and look for a course that meets your qualifications. The list of courses for TVET institutions can be found here:
Once you have identified a course and an institution, go to the KUCCPS portal and log in using your KCSE index number and KCPE index number and apply.
