The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is expected to release the results for universities’ and colleges’ placement.
This comes after KUCCPS completes its placement exercise following months of application.
Students who sat for their KCSE examination in March 2021 and scored at least a C+ are expected to join various universities from September. Those who scored at least a D+ were also required to apply for diploma courses of their choice in various TVET institutions.
KUCCPS gave students an opportunity to revise their courses in the First Revision exercise which began in early June, followed by second and third revisions in July 2021. Unlike in the previous years when students were allowed to make only 2 revisions, the KUCCPS gave students to revise their courses three times this year. As a result, students have waited for too long to know their institutions.
The wait is now over as the KUCCPS is set to announce the university placement results on Tuesday, 17th August, 2021.
Completion of the placement exercise will be announced by the Agency, after which students can check their university placement online.

A statement from the KUCCPS states that the University placement results will be announced through the media. Applicants are expected to know their results by logging in to their KUCCPS Portal.
This time the results will also be sent to the students’ mobile phones which were used to register for the KUCCPs students’ account.
Cabinet Secretary for Education Professor George Magoha will address the nation in the announcement ceremony tomorrow.
Hundreds of thousands of students will miss out on the latest university placement, but there is no need to panic. There are still many opportunities in TVET institutions for young people to pursue the careers of their dreams.
