Background Information
Moi University is a Public University located in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County. Officially recognized the Commission for University Education of Kenya, Moi University is a large coeducational Kenyan higher education institution.
The University currently has four campuses, namely: Main Campus, Town Campus, Eldoret West Campus and Odera Akang’o Campus. The University also has two constituent colleges, namely Garissa and Rongo and three Satellite Campuses in Nairobi, Kitale and Coast (Mombasa).
Admission Requirements
Diploma Programmes requires students to meet the following requirements:
- Minimum mean grade of C- in KCSE
- A level qualification with at least a subsidiary pass in relevant subjects.
Undergraduate Programmes requires:
- Must have a Mean Grade of C+ (Plus) at KCSE or its equivalent recognized by Moi University Senate. OR
- Must be a holder of Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education with two principals (2 P) and One Subsidiary.
Master’s Programmes requires
- Second-Class Honors (Upper Division) in relevant bachelor’s degree OR
- Second-Class Honors (Lower Division) in a relevant bachelor’s degree with 2 years relevant experience.
Doctorate Programmes requires an applicant to have a masters in relevant field from a University recognized by MUST senate.

To join the university as a self-sponsored student, visit the university admission portal at https://admissions.mu.ac.ke/ and click the “apply” tab at the bottom on self-sponsored students’ section then fill in all the required details and submit your application. An application ID will be sent to your registered email where you can keep track of your application status.
