Background Information

Rift Valley Institute of Business Studies (RVIBS) is a registered Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution with its Main Campus in Nakuru Town at Station Road next to Nakuru Railways Police Station. This college was started with a drive to create a positive impact on the lives of the youth and create success stories. Since its inception in 2006 Kericho, has grown and now has campuses in Nakuru, Njoro and Gilgil. From the humble beginnings of 10 students in 2006 in Kericho, we have trained over 15,000 young men and women to-date.

We are concerned with the acquisition of knowledge and skills for the world of work, and is expected to help youth and adults develop the skills they need for employment, decent work and entrepreneurship, promoting equitable, inclusive and sustainable economic growth. We offer a wide range of technical and business courses leading to the award of artisan, certificate, and diploma. At our institution, students undertake comprehensive skills training offered through competency-based education and training approach to acquire skills.

Application Procedure: How to Apply for Courses at RVIBS

To apply for a course at the Rift Valley Institute of Business Studies, you need to go online and register your application by filling an online form using the following link: https://eschool.rvibs.ac.ke/admissions2.php

Before you apply for admission at RVIBS, you are encouraged to carefully consider the various Diploma, Craft Certificate and Artisan courses available.

Please visit the departments section on the website and you will be guided on joining requirements for various courses.

Ensure you fill all the areas with the correct information and click on NEXT until you complete the process.

Once you finish with your applications, you will receive a text message and email guiding you on how to proceed with the registration process.

Use the links provided to finalize on the registration process and to register for units.

You will be promoted to reset the default password by putting your personalized password. Note that the provided admission number and your personalized password are your login credentials.

During registration you will be required to attach the following items:

  • A copy of your recent coloured passport size photographs.
  • Scanned copies of your National ID or Birth certificate or Passport
  • Scanned copies of KCSE result slip/certificate, academic and professional certificates

You will be required to select your preferred campus and mode of study.

You will be required to pay a nonrefundable application fee of KSh 2000 for your application to be processed.

Once you finish the registration process you can print your admission letter & fees structure. Collect your student ID and college T-shirt from the Registrar office 7 days after completing the registration.

Our dedicated admissions team will receive your application and get back to you within twenty-four hours after successful submission of duly filled application form either online or offline.

Admission Requirements

To get admission to Rift Valley Institute of Business Studies, you should attain certain minimum requirements. Each Course has its own minimum entry requirements, but the general requirements is that you must:

  • Have a D and above for a Certificate Course
  • A C- and above for Diploma courses
  • A copy of National ID
  • KCSE Certificate or Results Slip
  • Passport photo size
