Admission Requirements

To pursue a master’s degree, one needs to meet one of the following requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least second class honors upper division or cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00 from MMU, or any institution recognized by university Senate.
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least second class honors lower division or a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.50 on a scale of 4.00 from MMU, or any institution recognized by the University, with three (3) years working experience in a relevant field.
  • Relevant postgraduate diploma from MMU or any institution recognized by the University.

Bachelor’s degree minimum entry requirements are:

  • KCSE mean grade of C+ or its equivalent
  • Higher National Diploma/ Diploma from KNEC or any institution recognized by university senate.
  • Any other qualification(s) recognized by the University Senate as equivalent to any of the above.

Diploma courses minimum entry requirements are:

  • KCSE mean grade of C (plain) or its equivalent
  • Craft certificate in a relevant field or equivalent from an institution recognized by University Senate.

Certificate courses minimum entry requirements are:

  • KCSE mean grade of C- or its equivalent

Application Process

To join Multimedia University of Kenya you can make your application through the university official website or through KUCCPS website.

Applicants who qualify to be placed by KUCCPS through the government sponsorship programme can make their application at www.kuccps.ac.ke through students’ portal. Log in to the portal and choose Multimedia University of Kenya as your university and select your course of interest then finishing filling up the application form and submit.

Self-sponsored students can visit https://onlineapplication.mmu.ac.ke/apply and make their application. Fill the application form, attach the required documents, pay the application fee according to your programme as indicated on the website and submit the application form.

You can also obtain the application form at the office of Corporate Affairs at MMU Main Campus or the Directors office at MMU Nairobi CBD Campus located in Uniafric House, 4th floor, Loita street upon payment of non-refundable application fee shown: Certificate and Diploma- KES 500, Bachelor’s degree- KES 1000 and master’s degree- KES 1500.
